Manual OCR
After running your scanned documents through OCR, your text is visually checked for errors, proofed, edited and spell-checked by us.
NOTE: As a rule of thumb, we do not correct typos found in the original documents, unless specifically requested by you. If a word or phrase is misspelled in the original, it will remain misspelled in the converted text.
If you wish, we will keep a running tab of suspect typos we encounter, and submit the list to you without making changes.
The reason for this policy is that sometimes what 'appears' to us to be misspellings may actually be archaic variations the author wishes to keep, or a form of professional / linguistic terminology we are not familiar with. In other cases, fidelity to the original - regardless of typos - may be a requirement.
We are flexible, however. If you'd like us to correct obvious typos and/or misspellings, just let us know.

The PRICE LIST (above) is offered as a general guide only; actual costs may vary in accordance with customer requirements. Exact estimates can only be given after a thorough review of your project, often done by viewing or working with the originals or a few select samples. (Contact us to discuss further.) For example, the rate for a detailed OCR manual conversion can be as high as $15 to $20 per page, or as low as $1.75, depending on the level of quality requested, required manhours, and page/image count. All rates are listed as cost per page/image, with a $75 minimum charge. Prices per page/image are the same for single and double sided pages. If your exact page/image size is not shown in the Price List (above), use the next size up to determine your rate.
