Manual Scanning
Bound books, frail or misshapen documents, and odd sized pages are scanned manually.
Each page is placed on the glass and individually scanned. This is more time consuming than speed scanning, and thus more costly.
Flat-bed scanning is performed for color and grayscale images that require more clarity and a higher resolution than the norm. Used primarily in full formatting and PDF conversion, this option is usually determined by sample work, subject to your review. These images are scanned separately, and inserted into the converted file.

The PRICE LIST (above) is offered as a general guide only; actual costs may vary in accordance with customer requirements. Exact estimates can only be given after a thorough review of your project, often done by viewing or working with the originals or a few select samples. (Contact us to discuss further.) For example, the rate for a detailed OCR manual conversion can be as high as $15 to $20 per page, or as low as $1.75, depending on the level of quality requested, required manhours, and page/image count. All rates are listed as cost per page/image, with a $75 minimum charge. Prices per page/image are the same for single and double sided pages. If your exact page/image size is not shown in the Price List (above), use the next size up to determine your rate.
